Author Updates: The Masters Review Volume I
The Masters Review stays in touch with its writers because we want to keep up on how they’re progressing as emerging authors and so we can continue to share their work with you. Here is a brief update from a few of our authors from last year.
Zana Previti has published stories in The Potomac Review, The Hayden’s Ferry Review, Burrow Press Review, RHINO poetry, Northwind Magazine (for which she was also nominated for a Pushcart Prize!) Ghost Ocean Magazine, Chamber Four Lit Magazine, and additionally on the Tin House blog. Great work, Zana!
Wendy Roberts, author of “Madeleines” graduated with her MFA in Creative Writing and is currently at work on finding an agent for the novel in which this excerpt appears. She also recently published the short story, “Ouroboros” in Ragnarok.
Over the last year Rachael Warecki has been published fiction in Midwestern Gothic and the Los Angeles Review, and has work forthcoming in Connu on the recommendation of the wonderful Lauren Groff (our judge from last year). She is also the recent recipient of an MFA in Creative Writing from Antioch University.
Erica Sklar had an essay, “Investment Property” in the spring 2013 issue of Barely South, and has a poem, “Dustbowl” forthcoming in the December issue of Blue Earth Review.
Brendan Park‘s story, “Sapere Aude” originally published by The Masters Review was recently reprinted by The Santa Monica Review.
Many of our authors report working on novels and are currently looking for agents. We wish them all the best and will report back on more publication news and events as they come in.
