Congratulations to our amazing judge, Lev Grossman on his newest novel, The Magician’s Land, which just landed as #1 on the New York Times bestsellers list!
Lev Grossman is considered one of the country’s smartest and most reliable critics. He has written for Salon, Village Voice, The Wall Street Journal, Wired, Entertainment Weekly, The Believer, the New York Times, and many others. He is the author of the novels, Warp, Codex, and The Magicians, which became a New York Times bestseller. The New Yorker named it one of the best books of 2009. The sequel, The Magician King, was also a Times bestseller, and has been published in more than twenty countries. In 2011 Grossman won the John W. Campbell Award for Best New Writer. In 2013 he was a finalist for the Nona Balakian Citation for Excellence in Reviewing.
We couldn’t be prouder or more honored to work with such a fantastic writer and person for our third volume. Lev generously selected the ten stories for our anthology, which is available in October.
