tumblr_mv974xDh9w1r8aoa7o1_500It happens to everyone. Somewhere between seven amazing books in a row and the up-and-coming novel that doesn’t publish for weeks, you’re stuck without something good to read. If you need a little nudging, Publisher’s Weekly just released their Top Books of the Year list, complete with full categorical reads in Fiction, Nonfiction, Children’s Literature, Mystery/Thriller, Sci-Fi/Horror, Romance, and Poetry. Perfect inspiration for a good-book drought, or the perfect way to find an upcoming Holiday gift for your favorite book lover, there is a lot to explore on this comprehensive list.

At The Masters Review, our mission is to support emerging writers. We only accept submissions from writers who can benefit from a larger platform: typically, writers without published novels or story collections or with low circulation. We publish fiction and nonfiction online year-round and put out an annual anthology of the ten best emerging writers in the country, judged by an expert in the field. We publish craft essays, interviews and book reviews and hold workshops that connect emerging and established writers.
