In thirteen words or less.
It isn’t Friday the 13th, but it is October 13th, and the number 13 carries with it a dark and unlucky history. Which is why today we’re asking for your best unsettling, disturbing, grotesque, gothic, and scary stories in 13 words or less.
Send your best scary story in 13 words or less to contact (at) mastersreview (dot) com by October 26th, and we’ll publish our favorites in a Flash Fiction Freak out on Halloween Day.
Happy writing.
(Can’t say it in thirteen? Then consider our Fall Fiction Contest, currently open through October 31. Up to 7,000 words of your best fiction. $2000, publication, and story feedback from Jeff VanderMeer to the winner.)
