University of Central Lancashire is now offering an MA in self-publishing, the first of its kind. The course leader says the program aims to help shed a more positive light on self-publishing, which is often negatively viewed. Citing best-selling authors and veterans of traditional publishing who have moved in that direction, as well as some impressive statistics (self-publishing is up 59% from 2011 – 2012), this certainly marks an interesting move.
