The PEN Literary Award Winners were announced, congratulations to the winners.

Author, Sergio De La Pava won the prestigious PEN/Robert W. Bingham Prize for outstanding debut fiction. His novel, “A Naked Singularity” was self-published in 2008 and slowly began to generate a following. Read more about this incredible novel’s journey, here.

Publisher’s Weekly recently announced that Penguin has signed a two-book deal with a thirteen-year-old. We heard about it first from children’s horror writer R.L. Stein who tweeted last night: Unpublished authors: Wanna kill yourselves? Penguin signs 13-yr-old to a two-book deal. *Indeed*

At The Masters Review, our mission is to support emerging writers. We only accept submissions from writers who can benefit from a larger platform: typically, writers without published novels or story collections or with low circulation. We publish fiction and nonfiction online year-round and put out an annual anthology of the ten best emerging writers in the country, judged by an expert in the field. We publish craft essays, interviews and book reviews and hold workshops that connect emerging and established writers.
