Submit Now

January 16, 2013

The Masters Review 2013 is now open for submissions. Last year we were honored to work with guest judge Lauren Groff, who helped us select ten truly extraordinary authors and stories. This year, we’re eager to see what submissions will hold. Stories have already begun to pour in and we’re thrilled to see such a high standard of quality with so many varied styles. Our judge this year is the wonderful and talented A.M. Homes, who will select ten stories from our shortlist in April. Each year we send out our review to a variety of editors, agents, and other authors in order to showcase the work of our authors. If you’re currently enrolled in an MFA, MA, or PhD creative writing program and would like the chance for us to review your work, please consider submitting any fiction or narrative nonfiction piece under 7000 words, here.

Per usual, be sure to check out our submission guidelines and requirements. Our deadline closes on March, 31, 2013. Best of luck and thank you for submitting.

At The Masters Review, our mission is to support emerging writers. We only accept submissions from writers who can benefit from a larger platform: typically, writers without published novels or story collections or with low circulation. We publish fiction and nonfiction online year round and put out an annual anthology of the ten best emerging writers in the country, judged by an expert in the field. We publish craft essays, interviews and book reviews and hold workshops that connect emerging and established writers.
